Santiago Celsi was a Uruguayan soccer player .

Celsi, who scored the first goal in the opening game against the Club Atlético Cerro team on September 21, 1926 at the inauguration of the new field of his Defensor club, called Estadio Luis Franzini decades later , played at least 1927 for Defensor in the Primera División . His club finished sixth in the table that season. Also in 1932 and in January 1934 as part of the Copa Beccar Varela , he is led in the ranks of the Montevidean club.

National team

Celsi was also a member of the Uruguayan senior team . He took part with the national team in the South American Championships in 1927 , in which Uruguay took second place. Celsi was not used during the tournament.
