Santiago Nazarian

Santiago Nazarian (born May 12, 1977 São Paulo in Brazil ) is a Brazilian writer .

Life

Nazarian is the son of the sculptor Guilherme de Faria and the writer Elisa Nazarian . He worked in a wide variety of activities such as salesman in a bookstore, editor in an advertising agency or English teacher before he devoted himself to translations and writing.

Nazarian took part in a literary competition organized by the Conrado Wessel Literature Foundation in 2003 and won first prize for his work Olivio . The price also included the first publication of the volume. The character Thomas Schimidt appears several times in his works. Outsiders see this figure as the author's alter ego , who portrays his own experiences as those of his fictional character.

In 2011 Nazarian spent some time in Finland working there and was featured in Frankfurt am Main that November of that year .
