Santiago de Brum Carbajal was a Uruguayan politician .

Santiago de Brum Carbajal, who holds a doctorate in law and was a member of the Partido Colorado , held the presidency of the Uruguayan football club Club Nacional de Fútbol , also known as Nacional Montevideo, from 1952 to 1953 . In addition, he was chairman of the former Liga Divisional "B" for several years . He held a mandate as deputy senator in the Cámara de Senadores in the 39th legislative period from March 26, 1963 to September 19, 1963 and in the 40th legislative period from June 18, 1968 with two interruptions until December 29, 1970 . In between, he held the office of Minister of Industry and Trade from March 19, 1968 to May 3, 1968, and from January 21, 1971 to his resignation on June 3, 1971 the office of Minister of the Interior.
