Sanxingcun

Sanxingcun ( Chinese  三星 村 遗址 , Pinyin Sānxīngcūn yízhǐ  - "Sanxingcun site") is a Neolithic site in the village of Sanxin or Sanxingcun, Xigang Municipality (西 Groß), Jintan , Changzhou , in the east Chinese province of Jiangsu . The entire locality covers around 10 hectares. During excavations on an area of ​​around 525 m² between 1993 and 1998, 1001 graves, 55 rubbish pits ( huikeng ) and 4 buildings ( fangzhi ) were discovered. The discovery of the site is important in determining the origins of the Neolithic in the lower Yangtze River. It was excavated from the Nanjing Museum ( Nanjing bowuguan ) and the Jintan Shi wenguanhui 金坛市文 管 会Institution of Jintan City. The Sanxingcun site ( Sanxingcun yizhi ) has been on the list of monuments of the People's Republic of China (6-73) since 2006 .
