Saouga

Saouga is a place in Burkina Faso , which lies within the Gorom-Gorom department on the road connecting Dori and Gorom-Gorom at the foot of a dunes. North of Saouga, the Gorouol flows parallel to the dune from west to east. Saouga has about 3200 inhabitants. There are excavation sites of Iron Age settlement sites nearby.
