Sara (wife of Tobias)

Sara or Sarah (Hebrew: "Mistress") is a main character of the deuterocanonical or apocryphal book Tobit in the Old Testament .

history

Sarah from Ekbatana is the daughter of Edna and Raguël and a relative of Tobit and his son Tobias . Sara is loved by a demon who killed her seven husbands on their wedding night. Tobias takes Sara as his wife after the archangel Raphael initiated the wedding ( Tob 6.10-13  EU ) and betrayed him a smoking spell against the demon Asmodäus . As a result, the fate of both families turns for the better.
