Saruba Colley (born February 5, 1989 in Sibanor ) is a Gambian sprinter .

Career

At the 2012 Summer Olympics in London , she started for Gambia in the 100-meter run. Here she ran in the lead with a time of 12.21 s and qualified for the next round. In this run, she ran the distance in 12.06 s, which was a new national record at the time - but still could not qualify for the semi-finals.

After the Games, rumors surfaced that she broke away from the Gambian national team while in London and was planning to stay there. The Gambian Athletics Association (GAA) commented in August 2012 that she was staying with two sisters there and had a valid visa.
