Sasha Bilay

Sascha Bilay (born April 12, 1979 in Ilmenau ) is a German politician ( Die Linke ). In the state elections in Thuringia in 2019 , he received a mandate on the state list of his party and entered the Thuringian state parliament .

After graduating from high school in 1998, Sascha Bilay studied political science, sociology and Eastern European history at the University of Jena until 2005. In addition, in 2010 he obtained a degree in administrative management. From 2004 he was an employee of the Thuringian parliamentary group of the Left.

Bilay joined what was then the PDS in 1996. He represented his party from 1999 to 2007 in the city council of Ilmenau.
