Sascha Gehloff

Sascha Gehloff (born March 3, 1972 ) is a German American football coach and former player.

career

Gehloff played from 1992 to 1994 with the Stormarn Vikings, then one year with the Hamburg Silver Eagles before he joined the Hamburg Blue Devils . The 1.84-meter-tall pass defender, who studied sports and media science at the University of Hamburg , won the German championship with the devils in 1996, 2001 and 2003 and the Eurobowl in 1996, 1997 and 1998 . In the meantime, Gehloff played for Rhein Fire in the NFL Europe and won the World Bowl with the Düsseldorf team in 2000 . He was a German national player, he finished second with Germany at the 2000 European Championship and third at the 2003 World Cup.

From January 2004 he was part of the Rhein Fire coaching staff, he also worked as a coach for the second division club Hamburg Eagles.

From August 2018 he was seen together with Maximilian von Garnier as an expert on the television program "Kickoff - Das GFL Football-Magazin" directed by Tim Niemeyer on Sport1 .
