Satoru Ōtomo
Satoru Ōtomo (also Satoshi Otomo) ( Japanese 大 友 哲 , Ōtomo Satoru ; born December 19, 1957 in Mitaka ) is a Japanese dentist , amateur astronomer and asteroid discoverer, who mainly works from the observatory in his home town of Kiyosato .
Ōtomo is the discoverer of currently (as of Jan. 2010) 149 asteroids , 15 of them together with Osamu Muramatsu .
The asteroid (3911) Otomo was named after him.
