Round to straight-bottomed wide funnel cups with vertical stripes

In Schleswig-Holstein, the Satrup stage is the (3rd) stage of the Neolithic Funnel Beaker Culture (TBK) dated between about -3700 and -3500 . The predecessor here is the Siggeneben stage, the successor is the Fuchsberg stage ; about -3500 to -3300.

The culture is characterized by round to straight-bottomed wide funnel cups, which in turn are often decorated with vertical lines. Triangles filled with lines can sometimes be found under the rim of vessels. Stone tools are not common, but thin-nosed axes are common.

The Satruper level is only known from a few sites (Südensee-Damm, Pöttmoor). It is believed that it was primarily related to the Rössen culture .
