Martin Nachmann took part in international junior championships from 2002. He achieved his best result at the 2004 Junior World Championship in Kindberg with 18th place in the single-seater. A year earlier he had participated in a world championship in the general class for the first time in Železniki and was 42nd. The then 18-year-old made his World Cup debut in the first race of the 2003/2004 season in Olang , where he finished 30th. Then he was only used again at the season finale in Aurach , where he reached 21st place and was 39th in the overall World Cup. In the 2004/2005 season , Nachmann competed in all six World Cup races. He drove four times under the fastest 25 and achieved the best result in 20th place in Unterammergau on January 9, 2005. In the overall World Cup he achieved 23rd place. In the first two races of the season he also took part in doubles with Björn Kierspel . They achieved ninth and twelfth places and were 14th in the overall standings. They also became German champions in the two-seater. At the 2005 World Championships in Latsch , Nachmann achieved 33rd place in the single-seater, but with Kierspel in the double-seater only 13th and last place. The Kierspel / Nachmann duo also contested the team competition together with Michaela Maurer and Marcus Grausam , who started in the single-seater, in which the German team finished eighth among ten teams. In his last season, 2005/2006 , Nachmann took part in four out of six World Cup races. His best results were two 24th places in the two Grande Prairie races and he was 32nd in the overall World Cup.
