Saturn Award for the best stop-motion animation
The Saturn Award for the best stop-motion animation was only given twice. This can be explained by the fact that, compared to other categories, only very few films could be shortlisted. The displacement of stop-motion technology from the mid-1970s by go-motion and later by computer animation were further reasons.
The following people have won the Saturn Award for the best stop-motion animation:
year | Award winners | Movie | Further nominations |
---|---|---|---|
1975 | Ray Harryhausen | Sindbad's dangerous adventures | no further nominations |
1976 | Jim Danforth | no further nominations |
