shape

Oxygen tents can be manufactured and used in different sizes. There are versions that can be worn on the face, right up to room-size models. The side walls are usually transparent to allow observation from the outside.

history

Around 1900, the French doctor Charles Michel (1850–1935) discovered that a sterile oxygen atmosphere promoted the healing of certain diseases and injuries (e.g. burns ). Oxygen tents were eventually developed from the time of World War II . With the help of the tent, foreign substances could be filtered out of the air and thus diseases of the respiratory tract could also be treated.
