Saulius Stripeika

Saulius Stripeika (* 1966 in Akmenė ) is a Lithuanian administrative lawyer, former politician , Deputy Minister of Justice of Lithuania .

Life

After graduating from high school, Stripeika completed her studies at Kauno kūno kultūros institutas in 1995 and, from 2002, the master’s degree in law and administration at Mykolo Riomerio universitetas . From summer 1993 he worked in the police department in the criminal search sub-department as a young inspector and then at the border police department , from 1997 in Šiauliai . Stripeika was head of a group at the border guard , from 2005 head of the Lithuanian border guard authority ( Valstybės sienos apsaugos tarnyba ), then senior advisor at the Ministry of the Interior of Lithuania . In 2005 Stripeika was promoted from Prime Minister Algirdas Brazauskas to General in the office. From February 2013 to July 2014 he was Deputy Minister of Justice Juozas Bernatonis in the Butkevičius cabinet . It was delegated by the LSDP . In 2014 he was put on the “black list” (of unreliable politicians) by the Lithuanian President Dalia Grybauskaitė and was supposed to leave politics.

He is a member of the social democratic party LSDP (since 2012).

He speaks English and Russian .
