The Saurer 2 DM is an all-wheel drive (4x4) truck model that Adolph Saurer AG manufactured from 1959. It is a right-hand drive with a payload of 4.9 tons.
The Swiss Army used it from 1964. Among other things, also in several special designs , such as the dump truck , snow plow or aircraft tanker . The Berna 2VM model from Motorwagenfabrik Berna AG Olten was identical in construction . From 1964 about 3200 units were built.
The 2 DM was also sold for civil purposes.
