A Savoyard Burgonet also Engl. Death's Head Burgonet is a helmet from Europe.

description

A Savoyard Burgonet is made of steel. Its construction , which is reminiscent of a skull or a grinning mask, is very eye-catching. He usually has a spherical helmet bell and has a raised comb at different heights on the top of the head. The visor can be opened, the mouth opening, which enables better breathing, is either small and narrow, or worked with a broad grin. Depending on the version, there is a crescent-shaped shade or a shade designed in the style of eyebrows above the eye openings. A helmet collar is worked out on the lower part of the helmet, which rests on the chest and back armor. The so-called Savoyard armor is usually painted black or alternately designed in black with white or metal-colored pieces. The individual components are riveted together . The two halves of the helmet are also fixed with leather straps when worn.
