The SCANLAB GmbH develops, manufactures and sells galvanometer scanners and scan solutions for the precise and fast deflecting laser beams. The products are used in material processing and biotechnology and medical technology. The company is not listed. The seat is in Puchheim near Munich. Blackbird Robotersysteme GmbH and the Belgian company Next Scan Technology BVBA are affiliated companies of SCANLAB GmbH.

The company produces over 35,000 scanning solutions per year. These are an essential component of laser processing machines, laser sintering machines , stereolithography machines and laser microscopes, as well as dermatological and ophthalmic devices. SCANLAB is the market leader in its market.
