The Schoenstatt Movement Girls / Young Women ( Schoenstatt MJF ) is an international Catholic youth movement and part of the Schoenstatt Movement .

The girls' youth are aimed specifically at female children and young people. This work is accompanied by Schoenstatt Sisters of Mary who are released especially for the work in the movement . The counterpart to the girls ' youth is the Schoenstatt male youth , which focuses specifically on male children and young people. This separation is the founder of Schoenstatt on the Father Joseph Kentenich based Kentenich pedagogy established that favors the separate gender education for boys and girls.

history

In 1927, Father Josef Kentenich , the founder of the Schoenstatt Movement, held a conference for young women for the first time. As a result, members of the apostolic union began to set up groups for children and young people as part of the Schoenstatt Women's League . In 1931 the girls' youth became an independent community.
