  • Adam Schöttl († 1727), leader of the mountain riflemen of the upper Isar valley in the Oberland peasant uprising
  • Albert Schöttl (1724–1757), master builder of the Benedictine Abbey of Metten.
  • Benedikt Schöttl (1688–1742), master bricklayer and architect of the Rococo
  • Vinzenz Schöttl (1905–1946), German protective custody camp leader in Auschwitz III Monowitz concentration camp
