from Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

Schøyen MS 2633 (formerly P. Fackelmann 12 , No. 863 according to Rahlfs ) is the name for two fragments of a parchment code from the 4th or 5th century. They contain parts from Sirach 29: 13-26 in the Greek language ( Septuagint ). The fragments are 4.5 cm × 5 cm and 7 cm × 7 cm in size and inscribed with uncials .

They were acquired by the Austrian papyrus curator Anton Fackelmann in Egypt probably in 1969 and included in his private collection ( Fackelmann Collection ) with the signature P. Fackelmann 12. His son Anton Fackelmann jr. had the fragments auctioned (probably 1998), where they acquired the Schøyen Collection from Oslo and London .
