With pouring or spring pouring , one describes the volume of water emerging from a spring in a certain period of time, also called discharge [l / s]. Measurement methods include volume-filling time measurement and water level measurement .

The discharge from a spring can fluctuate to a greater or lesser extent depending on precipitation and evaporation. Particularly large time-dependent differences in the bed occur in karst springs .
