Schaager windmill

The Schaager Mühle is a listed windmill in the Schaag district of Nettetal . It was built in 1801 by the Schaager merchant family Moubis.

It was one of the first mills without a mill ban , which ceased to exist after the French era due to the new freedom of trade .

The complete restoration of the Schaager Mill in 1987 was celebrated with a large mill festival. Under the leadership of the master mill builder Vosdellen from Sassenfeld, the mill was given a new hood , wings (they had to be removed in 1919), crucible and gallery .

The mill with the current address Bruckrath 57, 59 is registered under monument number 34 in the list of architectural monuments of the city of Nettetal and is now used as a residential building.
