The house at Schadowstrasse 34 Düsseldorf

The office building at Schadowstrasse 34 in Düsseldorf owned by the C. Fausel company was rebuilt with this facade in 1898 by the architect Gottfried Wehling . The ground floor showed “elegant modern” shop window systems made of polished mahogany wood. The first floor served as a shop facing the street, the rear part as an apartment.

The architecture was a “characteristic example of the modern style in Germany, which was implemented here with strict consistency”. The building sculpture was made by the sculptors Zobus and Ellenmenger based on the architect's drawings.

The building has not been preserved.
