The building

The switch house at Gertrudisstraße 9 is located in the Düren district of Merken in North Rhine-Westphalia .

The switch house is a two-storey, three-axis expressionist brick building with pilaster strips . The cornice is made of cast stone. The facade shows multi-tiered parapet fields with ceramic ornamental stone. The saddle roof has a wide dormer window that was subsequently changed .

The building is entered in the list of monuments of the city of Düren under No. 11/010.
