Scheuten Glas is a Dutch glass manufacturer based in Venlo . It was founded in 1950 by Jacques Scheuten. At first only glass was refined. Insulating glass has been produced since 1970, safety glass since 1983 , tempered glass since 1990 and coated glass since 1995 . In 2001 the company acquired its own flat glass plant in Moustier-sur-Sambre . Since 2009, Scheuten has been running a flat glass factory together with Interpane in Osterweddingen in Saxony-Anhalt (f-glass GmbH).
From 2002 on, Scheuten Solar manufactured building-integrated glass-glass solar modules in Gelsenkirchen . In 2012, insolvency proceedings were initiated in this division.
Scheuten is one of the world's 11 largest flat glass manufacturers.
