history

In 1971 Georg F. Hesselbach founded the company with its headquarters and first production site in Lauenförde. In 1982 the self-developed functional glass "iplus neutral" was presented; it is considered the first color-neutral warm glass in glass history. This was achieved through a special silver coating . Since then, the process has been the standard in the production of high-quality warm glass. Interpane Plattling was the first company in the world to coat entire tape measures (6.00 m × 3.21 m) in a vacuum process.

Today (2019) Interpane Glas Industrie AG operates production sites in Lauenförde (Holzminden), Belgern (Northern Saxony), Häsen (Oberhavel), Hildesheim , Plattling (Deggendorf), Osterweddingen (Bördekreis) and Wipperfürth (Oberbergischer Kreis), in Parndorf (Burgenland , Austria) ) as well as in France in Hœrdt (Alsace) and Seingbouse (Lorraine), since 2016 also in Malacky in Slovakia.

The Buxtehude location was sold on June 30, 2015.
