Rudolph W. Archer (born September 20, 1869 in Bellaire , Ohio , † January 14, 1932 ibid) was an American politician ( Republican Party ). He was Treasurer of State of Ohio from 1915 to 1917 and from 1919 to 1923 .

Career

Rudolph W. Archer was born in Belmont County about four years after the end of the Civil War . He left school at the age of 10 to support his family. Archer worked in a glassworks. The Republican Party nominated him twice for the office of county treasurer. He was elected both times. In 1914 he was elected Treasurer of State of Ohio and held the post for a two-year term. On his re-election in 1916, he suffered a defeat to Democrat Chester E. Bryan . He was re-elected Treasurer of State in 1918 and re-elected in 1920.
