Roger W. Tracy

Roger Walker Tracy (born January 20, 1903 in Columbus , Ohio , † November 9, 1964 ) was an American politician ( Republican Party ). He was Ohio Treasurer of State for eight years and Ohio Auditor of State for two years .

Career

Not many are known about Roger Walker Tracy. He was the youngest son of Alnore Anne Arnold (1869-1921) and the Ohio Auditor of State Joseph T. Tracy . According to the United States Census of 1910, he had four older siblings: Stanley B. (15 years old), Helen W. (13 years old), Christine L. (11 years old), and Julietta G. (9 years old). Tracy was married to Elizabeth Wahlquist (1911–1961), daughter of Estelle and Charles B. Wahlquist. The couple had at least one son named Roger W. (1938-2007), who later became a commissioner in Franklin County and an Ohio Tax Commissioner. Roger Walker Tracy was Treasurer of State of Ohio from 1951 to 1959 and Auditor of State of Ohio from 1963 to 1964. He participated in 1964 as a delegate to the Republican National Convention . After his death in Columbus in 1964, he was buried there in Union Cemetery .
