Jacques Moujica , born as Jésus Mujica , (born September 18, 1926 in Urretxu , Spain ; † November 13, 1950 in Montélimar ) was a Spanish - French cyclist.

As an amateur , Moujica (still known as Jésus Mujica) won several local cycling races in France. In 1947 Moujica became a professional and subsequently won numerous other smaller races. In 1949 he won two stages of the Tour of Algeria . His greatest success to date was his victory in the 586-kilometer one-day race Bordeaux – Paris in the same year. Also in 1949, he took third place at Paris-Roubaix and Paris-Brussels .

In June 1948, Moujica received French citizenship and changed its name from Jésus Mujica to Jacques Moujica . On November 13, 1950, he was out in the car with racing cyclist Jean Rey . On Route nationale 7 , her car crashed into a truck and both men died.

Every year, Boulogne-sur-Gesse hosts the GP Jésus Mujica cycling race organized by his family and friends. In 2014, the 64th edition took place in the presence of Raymond Poulidor . Moujica won the first edition in 1946.
