A push bar system is a special tarpaulin and superstructure system that is suitable for road traffic and internal transport. In contrast to the conventional tarpaulin frames , the loading area can be exposed by one person, except for the folded tarpaulin frame. This enables free access to the interior of the vehicle and also facilitates loading and unloading of the cargo .

history

The original idea of such U-bracket-like tarpaulin systems comes from America . There, such push bar systems or " flatbed traps " are mainly used for rail transport. The German name " push bar system " was derived from the Dutch word " schuifbeugel " ([scheuwbögel] pronounced) and is intended to indicate that the entire tarpaulin frame can be pushed together like an accordion, thus exposing the loading area.
