List of apple varieties

Schiebler's pigeon apple is one of the old apple varieties . It was raised from seeds in the first half of the 18th century by Ludwig Schiebler in the nursery nursery JL Schiebler & Son in Celle ( Lower Saxony , Germany ).

It is a very good table apple and a good commercial apple that can be enjoyed from November and can be kept until the beginning of February. The high and half stems are suitable for cultivation on a seedling base; the demands on the soil are medium, it should be nutritious and have good replenishment capacity. Higher altitudes are possible as long as they are protected.

The fruit is medium-sized, 57–67 mm high, 44–58 mm thick, oblong-ovoid and fairly evenly built. The ribs run flat over half the fruit, the cross-section is quite round. The fruit skin is smooth, light green, later greenish-yellow.

The variety is very healthy and frost-resistant, and it has only a low susceptibility to apple scab . The yield is very high and the apple has very good storage properties, the variety is not very sensitive and not prone to rot.
