The Musée de l'Ardoise Slate Museum Uewermaarteleng is located in Obermartelingen ( Luxembourg ).

Exhibition space

The museum, including the slate quarry, is located on an eight-hectare open-air site, on which there are 26 renovated workshops, including a sawmill, studios with a forge, smelter, carpentry and stone splitter.

Furthermore, the former service villa and workers' houses are located on the site.

The museum was founded in 1992 with the support of the monument authority and the association "Frënn vun der Lee".
