Ship launch at Ugglarp

The stone ship at Södra Ugglarp is located on the farm Södra Ugglarp southeast of Dalby between the villages Björnstorp and Björnstorps Torg northwest of a small lake in the Swedish Scania .

The east-west orientated ship setting, restored in 1952, is one of the largest in Sweden with a length of 45 m and 39 stones. The monument had to be renewed in the mid-1800s. At that time there were still four stone circles here. In 1952 the stonemason E. Johansson set up seven blocks on the southern side of the ship that had fallen over. On the cadastral map of 1767 the ship setting is called "Giättagraven". During their archaeological investigation, burned bones from the late Iron Age (500–1050 AD) were found.
