Ship launch from Djupvik
The ship setting from Djupvik (Gotland. Djauvik) between Fröjel and Eksta is about 13 m long and 4 m wide and has an orientation from northeast to southwest. It is located not far from the west coast of Gotland about 150 m above the village on a meadow at the edge of the forest, south of the approach to the port of Djupvik, which in summer is the ferry port for Lilla Karlsö and one of the Gotland fishing villages (fiskelägen). The medium-sized ship settlements that are particularly common on the Swedish island of Gotland can be dated to the younger Bronze Age .
