Building history

From 1897 to 1902 the choir was restored and vaulted. In 1977 the church and in 2003 the choir was again extensively renovated.

Furnishing

The interior of the church is kept simple. In the nave there is a two-storey gallery (partly from the 18th century).

The organ was built in 1971 by the “ Rudolf Böhm organ building company ” ( Gotha ) and consecrated in 1997 after extensive renovation.

In the choir there is a late Gothic shrine (north wall of the choir) and a plaque commemorating Friedrich Schiller's wedding.
