This rental Schillerstraße 10 is a protected cultural monument in the southeast of Gorlitz early days -Stadtteils downtown , a few hundred meters from the border river Neisse away. The neo-renaissance building with front garden was erected in 1898. The building has a representative and architecturally high-quality facade in which post-gothic and early renaissance elements are combined in almost pure style. The cultural monument is of importance in terms of building history and the street scene. The building is recorded in the list of historical monuments of the State Office for Monument Protection in Saxony under number 09280853.

Facade detail

The ocher-yellow building is faced with white bricks on the upper floors. Above the entrance, which is decorated with a keel arch , there are loggias, to the right of the gable section an octagonal bay window that emphasizes the first and second floors and is supported by a rectangular balcony on consoles. Plaster profiles adorn the courtyard passage, and an elaborate grid decorates the interior of the house. Remains of etched and painted panes have been preserved on the courtyard-side staircase windows.
