Schillerturm (Dessau)

The Schillerturm is a 12.5 m high tower in the Schillerpark in Dessau-Roßlau . It was inaugurated as the Bismarck Tower on April 1, 1915 . In 1955 it was rededicated as a memorial for Friedrich Schiller . The sandstone Schiller relief was made by the sculptor Propf from Köthen, but disappeared in the 1980s. In 2005, a new relief was used as part of the renovation of the tower.
