Shimon Garidi

Shimon Garidi ( שמעון גרידי; * December 1, 1912 in Dhamar ; † January 16, 2003 ) was an Israeli politician and member of the Knesset for Hitachdut HaTeimanim beJisra'el from 1951 to 1955.

Life

He immigrated to Palestine in 1920, where he studied at Tel Aviv University and the Hebrew University of Jerusalem . From 1932 to 1944 he worked as a Hebrew teacher. In the Israeli general election in 1951, Shimon Garidi was placed at the top of the electoral list and became a member of parliament.
