The Schlüter DSU 25 is a tractor model from Anton Schlüter Traktorwerke in Freising . A total of 215 of the model were built between 1947 and 1948. It was created on the basis of the Schlüter GZA 25, which is equipped with a wood gasifier engine . It was sold in different versions. The models in the first post-war years had iron wheels and no radiator cowling because of the lack of raw materials. Availability on the classic car market is poor and prices vary between € 2,300 for vehicles in poor condition and € 10,500 for vehicles in very good condition (as of 2018).

Until 1947, Schlüter built tractors with wood gas generators. As of this year, the DSU 25 was offered as a tractor with a diesel engine. The engine still had many similarities with the wood gas engine, but with a smaller bore and a displacement of 3100 cm³. With 25/28 hp at 1500 rpm, the output was just as high as with the GZA 25. Two different transmissions were available, both of which had four forward and one reverse gears. The ZA Renk SG22-4 gearbox purchased from the Augsburg cogwheel factory was installed 102 times and enabled a top speed of 18.5 km / h. The ZF A-12 gearbox purchased from Zahnradfabrik Friedrichshafen was installed 113 times; it allowed a top speed of 17.3 km / h. In addition to the aforementioned radiator cowling, some tractors also lacked the engine cowling. Tires used whatever was available, including aircraft tires .

In the first post-war years, former wood gasification tractors were also converted to diesel engines, sometimes even by Schlüter himself. As a result, there are now more DSU-25 tugs with the Prometheus gearbox from Deutz . Externally, the modifications cannot be distinguished from the original.

Construction was stopped in May 1948, when the DS 25, a model in which the engine had been specially developed for diesel operation, was offered.
