The Battle of Placentia (also Battle of Mutina ) took place in 194 BC. Chr. In Placentia between the Roman Republic and the Boii and ended with a victory of the Romans. In the following year, another battle between the two conflicting parties took place in the same region and went down in history as the Battle of Muntia , thus finally stifling the danger to the republic from the Boier. The battle was described by Titus Livius (34, 46-47).
