Impact cartridge

An explosive charge that is equipped with a detonator is referred to as an impact cartridge .

Explosives, especially gelatinous explosives , are often supplied in the form of rods called cartridges. Now the explosive cartridges with an explosive detonator , z. B. an electric detonator provided, it is now an impact cartridge.

Impact cartridges are used to carry larger charges, either from gelatinous explosives, powdered explosives , e.g. B. ANC explosives , or emulsified explosives to ignite. Powdery or emulsified explosive charges in particular require a charge from an impact cartridge to detonate, as they are not sensitive to capsules.
