Snake farms are agricultural holdings, on which various poisonous snake species are kept to snake venom to win that to drugs or antivenin is processed.

Often snake farms have a spectator area where guests can watch the snakes in their terrariums and possibly also watch the snake “milk”.

In addition, the extraction of snake venom is indispensable in order to be able to produce an antidote that must be injected into the victims of a snake bite in good time to prevent serious damage to health or death.
