history

Severin is first mentioned in a document on February 13, 1264 with the chapel and church in Frauenmark . Little is known about the history of Schlieven at the time. What is certain, however, is that it was created before 1300 under the name To der Sliven . This name means something like plum place .

In the 17th century the Woosten line was owned by the von Grabow family of Severin and Schlieven. They stayed until the third decade of the 18th century.

The chapel at Schlieven, which was mentioned for the first time in the visitation protocol of 1593, was demolished in 1872.

On January 1, 1951, Schlieven was incorporated into Domsühl.
