The metal joint clip in practice
Keck clips in different sizes made of plastic

A ground clamp , or cut staple used to secure standard ground connections ( cut fuse ) in glassware .

Joint clamps are made in different shapes and from different materials, which differ in terms of corrosion and temperature resistance . A special version made of plastic is known as the Keck clip (patented for Hermann Keck 1984).

Further explanation:

  • Conical joint clips made of POM ( polyoxymethylene ) do not scratch the glass surface, have excellent chemical resistance, excellent resilience and stability. Usage temperature up to approx. 200 ° C.
  • Conical ground joint clamps (as above) made of PTFE with encapsulated steel spring.
