Schloß Pompon Rouge is a German comedy erotic series that was produced in 1991 by Synergy Film GmbH for RTL plus .

action

Germany in the 18th century: The small, insignificant principality of Bommelroth is ruled by Marquis Henri (actually Heinrich) Bommelroth. He and his wife, the Marquise Marie-Antoinette (actually Maria), orientate themselves on the courtly customs of Versailles , where waste, luxury, passion for games, intrigues, love and vice predominate.

production

Originally, RTL had planned the production of 52 episodes. However, this project was not implemented due to financial problems and differences in content between the RTL program management and producer Jörn Schröder.

After Schröder's departure, the 22 episodes he had already produced were revised and 4 new episodes were added. The new production company Caligari Film filled several roles, and Sibylle Rauch played another mistress of the Marquis.

Charisma

The first broadcast of 22 episodes took place on the German private broadcaster RTL plus from September 1991 to May 1992. A repetition took place on the Hamburg 1 urban area television from July to December 1997.

Publication on VHS

In 1993 the 26 episodes of the series were released on a total of nine VHS cassettes.
