Schlomographic action Berlin

The Schlomographische Aktion Berlin was founded in 1996 by George Große and Charly Paps. In 1997, Olf Engelbrat joined them.

Technology and topic

Schlomographers like to use "radical resources", that is, they make use of fundamental peculiarities of the photographic process. Thematically, they focus on human physiognomy and anatomy , which, however, are not depicted in the conventional, but in a “degenerate” form. This not only necessitates unusual processes, but also usually necessitates the construction of new types of photographic equipment or the retrofitting of conventional camera models.
