The Štatenberg Castle ( German Stattenberg ) is a Baroque castle from the 18th century, in the municipality of Makole in Slovenia is (Lower Styria region). The castle was built in the first half of the 18th century and is one of the most beautiful castles in Slovenia.

The castle owners

The owners of the castle were the Counts of Attems (since 1720), the nobles von Kaiserfeld (since 1810), the barons Pittoni von Danennfeldt (since 1827), the princes of Lobkowitz - Raudnitz (since 1835), the barons Conrad von Eybesfeld ( since 1841), the middle-class Neumann family (since 1910) and from 1941 the new (National Socialist) government (the palace administration was headed by the Dyhrn family).
