Liebenau Castle

The Liebenau Castle ( Polish Pałac w Lubieniu ) is a castle in today's Polish Lubień , Gmina Legnickie Pole , Lower Silesian Voivodeship .

The castle was built by Georg von Schweinitz in 1607 , as can be read in the palmette on the gable . The castle consists of a main building and two irregularly attached gable structures. The gables on the front are designed with C- and S-shaped volutes , the gables on the back are more simple. The main gables are only designed with horizontal cornices . It is noteworthy that the sgraffito jewelry is only partially preserved. In the lower part of the façade there is a simple ashlar, but the gables are decorated with foliage friezes and coats of arms. Inside there are ceilings, stucco ceilings and stucco in the niches. The wall-mounted interior is similar to that of the Schweinhausburg .
