Padberg Castle
The Padberg Castle is a Grade II listed manor house situated in Padberg (city Marsberg ).
Padberg Castle emerged from a castle seat of the line of the lower house of the Lords of Padberg . The castle fell to the von Stockhausen family in 1677 . Alhard von Stockhausen started a new building in 1800. However, this was never completed. A residential building was built around 1850. The shell of the castle that Alhard von Stockhausen had begun was demolished in 1874. A carriage house comes from the same year. The current building is mainly from the years 1890/91. It is a rather simple two-story building with a square corner tower. Today it belongs to Countess Droste zu Vischering .
